125 gathered for this event representing the ministries listed and also including Catechetical and Youth Ministry Teams.  Fr. Ed Kaminski, C.S.C. opened the day with an overview of the documents of Vatican II followed by break-out sessions consisting of 5 workshops.  The team members did great work in preparation and delivering the topics as well as may other details for a successful event.
Many thanks to those who attended and all who were instrumental in the success of the day.
Some of the workshops will be repeated throughout the year for those who were not able to attend.

  1. Mass Without Ministers
Have you wondered what Mass would be like without ministers?  What does it take to get the full spiritual meaning of Mass?  We will discuss what's important for those called to serve: what is the degree of commitment when we say, "Yes, Yes, Lord!"
  2. Spirituality and Prayer
How, when and why do we pray?  What is spirituality and how do we form relationship with God? Come and answer these questions and discuss other aspects to help strengthen your personal prayer life.
  3. Evangelization: Living the Liturgy
The goal of Vatican II was to equip the Church to effectively re-evangelize the world through a compelling proclamation of Jesus Christ in a language that the world could understand. Evangelization is what disciples do between Baptism and death. What does this mean for me? And how do I do it?
  4. Building Ministry Relationships
The reign of God is present and lay ministers are the seeds of its future growth.  By sharing our knowledge and faith experiences in what we do within our ministries, we create new friendships; develop a deeper sense of belonging and learn from each other, uniting us as one in Christ.  Come and be part of the Community Unity Ministry Tree!
  5. Music at Mass-A Retrospective:
Exploring 5 decades of Sacred Music, from Kumbaya and Folk Masses to All Are Welcome, Awesome God, and what happened in between.
